The Brookhill Steeplechase has long been the up and coming event of the Triangle. Catering to crowds of fifteen plus thousand on the first Saturday of May, word has definitely gotten around. And it’s definitely a crowd pleaser. Corporate clientele entertain customers and employees amidst upscale catered parties by way of private tents in our Brookhill Village. If Saturday’s your day off from the office and you can’t wait to escape the indoors, you can also get your friends, family and colleagues together for a tent in The Glen or The Grove. You can cater your event yourself or you can spoil your friends and family with a professionally catered day at races.

And, if you’re looking for a smaller venue to gather with your friends, Tailgate Spaces are plentiful both in the infield and in College Park. This year we are pleased to offer a brand new venue for fun….Lawn Boxes in the Village. Lawn boxes are exclusive tailgate spaces with a tent. So whatever your choice, come out and stretch out, or carry a chair and find a patch of grass with a General Admission ticket. There really is something for everyone.

If you were wondering what you’d do at a farm all day, let us tell you about things happening at Brookhill Farms. After you’ve picked your prime partying location, take a walk around and checkout the Tailgate Contest. While the horses may be racing to the finish line, the tailgaters are racing to finish decorating their designation spot with themes that are all across the board. With every great southern event there comes a lot of grand tradition. The Brookhill Steeplechase is no different. Our Hat Contest will be some of the grandest hats you’ve ever laid eyes on…some over two feet tall! Staying with the idea that there really is something for everyone, there’s even stuff for the younger race enthusiast….the Little Miss Brookhill Contest. This year will mark the 3rd annual Miss Brookhill and Little Miss Brookhill Contest. Little Miss will be conducted the day of the race and will have the honor of taking a celebratory lap with Miss Brookhill during race festivities…stay tuned for the details of the contest. And, lastly, there will be several things to entertain the younger attendees in our Children’s Area.

The Brookhill Steeplechase takes place on Saturday, May 6, 2006 at Brookhill Farms in Clayton, NC. Gates open at 10:00 am and races begin at 2:00 pm. With so much to do, you’ll want to be the first one there when gates open.
